I never want to forget...

Two years ago today I held you in my arms for the first time ever. I was in awe...you were finally here!
Did I mention that was TWO YEARS AGO? My sweet baby boy you went from this:
to this:
in, what seems, like a blink of my eye.
Tonight I scooped you up in my arms and rocked you to sleep.
I smelled your sweet, still there baby scent and snuggled you close.
I loved how your little hand crept up to hold onto my hair.
I prayed over you.
I cherished the quiet-just you and me-knowing that someday
you will be bigger then me and that these moments of my sweet just turned
two year old will soon be gone.
I fear I will blink my eye and you will be 18 next!
So in the meantime-I never want to forget these precious moments with my precious first baby boy.

The photo with Elijah making a silly face is my favorite and it made me laugh! (he is wearing blue jammies with snowmen on them) Is he really two?? Seems like yesterday he was just born! A happy belated birthday to Elijah. Love all the photos of his adventures and mischief
