Today I am turning 24 years old. Weird. That is how I feel about it. Like really 24? HOW did that happen? ;)

I am so very blessed! I was reflecting over the past year and am just in awe of what the Lord has done and is doing.

SO many life changing things happened. One of the bigger ones was the birth of this little man:

He has changed our lives forever and I am so thankful for him. He is one of my favorite gifts :)

One of my other favorite gifts is my TWO year old (I wonder how fast time will seem to fly by till we are celebrating HIS 24th birthday!?) :)

My boys-I always wanted to have boys especially after being able to babysit for a family with three boys when I was a teenager for a few years!

Another gift is watching them together and seeing their relationship grow every day. They adore each other and that is so beautiful to me :)

Another relationship that has been growing more beautiful this year is our marriage. We reached a really tough place in March but the beauty that has come from re-surrendering our relationship to the Lord is beyond both of our imaginations!

and proclaim what the Lord has done."

Psalm 118:17

To PROCLAIM what God has done-He has made my family new and I am forever grateful and thankful to Him for that! :)

What about you? Has God done some amazing things in your life this year? I would love to hear about it!

What is your favorite birthday dinner?

My mom made me hash brown casserole and an AWESOME steak and chicken salad. Deliciousness! :)

Today Micah is SEVEN months old! My next thought is: HOW did that happen!? Lol :) Time has flown so quickly! It is so neat to watch him grow and see his little personality develop.

We were thrilled when we found out that a second boy! Two times everything. Two times the children. Two times the joy. Two times the hugs and kisses. Two times the love.

While I have found that to be very true over the past almost seven months I have also found that there are a lot of other things that multiply by two.

Two times the exhaustion. Two times the stress. Two times the needs. Two times the training needed. Two times the exasperation. Two times the mess. Two times the tears.

And yet-I look at those two faces smiling up at me and my heart melts. For years my hearts desire was to be a wife and Mama and truly the Lord has given me the desire of my heart.

Is it the perfection that I thought it would be? Absolutely not!

Is every difficult moment worth it when those chubby arms wrap themselves around my neck and little fingers reach for my hair? Absolutely.

Perfection-something I seem to see all around me on Facebook, pinterest, blogs and instagram. I look and I compare and I grow discontent and lies begin to fester in my mind.

Just an example:

Lie: Well, her house is absolutely perfect all the time and no matter what I do I just can NOT catch up on mine-I am a failure.

Truth: Yes, her house may SEEM perfect all the time but I am sure there are times when it really is not perfect and who knows maybe she has children that are above two and can help do chores in a bigger capacity.

So, I struggle with keeping my house clean BUT I have been really working hard on DE cluttering and re-organizing and making sure that everything has its very own place. I am not there yet but Lord willing I will continue to grow and learn as time goes on.

I am realizing that life has many different seasons. This season of (still) adjusting to two sweet baby boys is hard and exhausting and leaves me in tears many times and YET-seasons change and I know that all too soon this season will be over and done and I will be missing these precious moments with my baby boys.

I can not do this with out the Lord. So many days so many things seem so absolutely impossible and yet I serve the God Who NOTHING is impossible for.

I am realizing that I need to turn to Him a little bit more and learn to rely on Him not week by week or day by day but moment by moment. Each and everyday looking to him for the strength to make an eternal difference in the life of my precious little boys.

Moment by moment with Jesus by my side seems a lot more doable then days and weeks and months without Him.

I do not know about the rest of you but the day that I tasted tortilla chips for the first time I was hooked. Add melted cheese and salsa and you could say I was addicted.

During my pregnancy I may or may not have consumed enough home made nachos to keep a Aldis store in business just from the amount of organic (helped justify it in my mind lol) blue tortilla chips bought but then again…well anyway moving on.

Before we lived in Florida I had never eaten an avocado that I can remember.

I was looking for different dipping alternatives to satisfy my tortilla chip cravings when I came across the word “guacamole”. My interest peaked I typed it into the search engine on allrecipes.com and my life was forever changed! You can find the original recipe that I tweaked-Here.

What are your favorite ways to devour eat tortilla chips? I would love some new ways to try out on Jason!

Do you prefer salty or sweet when you are craving a treat?

Things have been pretty sporadic on here for a few months. I got to the point where I was trying to do a million (OK, maybe not a million but if felt like that) things perfectly and realized that I was actually not doing any of them well.

Ever stepped back in your lifetime and wondered who you are? I mean you know the different labels. You know what is expected of you and yet-you are still lost.

The past year I would say I have really struggled with who I am. I have wondered if really I am worth anything. I have wondered if this is the best life gets. I have been exhausted. I have been devastated beyond words in different life circumstances that have come my way.

I have laughed and I have cried. I have lived life in so many beautiful ways and I have wanted to curl up in a ball and die.

I have tried to be perfect and I have failed a zillion times over.

I have come to the absolute end of myself.

And when I was at that end I reached out to my Heavenly Father and He was there to comfort and sustain me. During this time (March 28, 2014)  He gave me this verse:
