How is it possible?

5:51 PM

First of all thank you so much for the prayers for Jason's Dad. The surgery was successful and the flutter in his heart is gone! Please continue to pray for him as he recovers :)

How is it possible that this has truly happened to me? How is it possible for one person to be so blessed?

All my life all I dreamed about was being a wife and a Mama. For nine months I have been preparing to be a Mama:

The day before I was induced-40 weeks and 3 days.

And then all the sudden, just when it seemed I was going to be pregnant forever, things began to happen fast. I had high blood pressure, went to the hospital, went back home and was induced the next day. I had waited 40 weeks for this and then-it was here:

Elijah Samuel, my son, was here!

Bliss. Joy. Just absolute amazement and it continues to grow each and every day! Lord willing I will be working on the entire birth story this week but until then here are some more pics to give you a glimpse of the days right after he was born while we were still in the hospital:

Daddy reading Elijah his first Psalms and Proverbs. I have fallen so much more in love with my prince just seeing how much he loves and adores our son. It is precious!

My sweet chunk of a son :)

Bonding with my boy :)

We are so blessed! Did things go the way I had planned? Well, for the first thing did you notice we were in a hospital? Uh, no. They did not. BUT, God's plans are SO much better than ours and I am thankful!

Can't wait to share the rest of the story with you :) So excited for the days to come!

Also, thank you for your sweet comments and encouragement and congratulations :) You ladies are AMAZING :)

I am off to snuggle with my little man :)

  2. He sure looks like a little man. Isn't it amazing how they change so quickly too?? Wow. Time sure flies. You are most definitely blessed. Enjoy these days ahead for they will fleet very quickly into memories. When you are tired, thank God. When you are hungry because baby won't let you eat, thank God. When you just don't think you can change another diaper, thank God.When you don't think you can handle any more crying spells, thank God. You won't regret ANYTHING!!

By the way, my first birth was NOT what I planned either but it was so worth it! Blessings to you!
